Learning Intentions for this unit;
Students will try to learn to recognize rational expressions as the division of two polynomials and use the properties of simple (not rational) fractions to analyze, perform arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply, & divide), create and solve equations.
We will also look at the key features, uses, limitations, and graphs of different representations of rational functions.
In this first unit, we will look at multiplying and dividing rational expressions. We will quickly review factoring since it is an important skill in simplifying these expressions.
